Peace Quilt Pattern

My sister and I just collaborated on quilts to welcome our newest nephews. Our two younger sisters just each had their first baby….and within two months of each other! What a cause to celebrate! It’s become a tradition with my sister and I to make Peace Baby quilts whenever there is a new baby in the family. It started when my grandson was born 8 years ago, and I made a baby version of my Peace quilt pattern. My sister has since made two for her grandchildren. I guess that’s why she recently dubbed it the Peace Baby Quilt Club!

With these quilts, I pieced the quilt tops and my sister quilted them. This system works out well for us, as I prefer the piecing and my sister enjoys the quilting process.

The Peace Quilt Pattern has been around for a while, and I have added it to the shop as a downloadable PDF. You can find it under Sewing Patterns. The pattern has instructions for three different sizes/versions and is beginner friendly.

Alison Glass prints from various fabric lines were used for the peace design, and Paris Blue Homestyle Essex Dyed linen by Robert Kaufman was used for the background.

Happy stitching,
